I’m invested in digital media and learning because of the potential I see in digital media for contributing to student-centered educational environments that better serve young people.

Description of Current Work:

Becky has recently completed her Ph.D. at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. Her dissertation investigates the relationships between consumption, media production, literacy, and participation, focusing on a small group of middle school students in a special education program. Her current research extends beyond the classroom to investigate innovative media production programs in afterschool settings, libraries, and museums.
